Public Review

Public review and possible reversal of RTM action on major financial or civil matters can be achieved by referendum. Three percent of the town's elector may petition within a five-day period to have a town-wide vote. If 25 percent of the town's elector vote to reduce an appropriation or nullify the legislation in question, the public vote supersedes the RTM action.
