Boating and Marinas
Greenwich has some of the best boating waters on Long Island Sound.
The town Boating Program is in place to provide our residents with affordable marina
facilities to enable them to take advantage of the islands, the beaches, and the
recreational pleasures of boating.
There are 4 marinas available to Town of Greenwich residents,
open from April 15 through November 15 each year.
Byram
- The Byram Marina is located in Byram Park just south of exit 2 of I-95 on Ritch Avenue.
- The marina has approximately 300 slip spaces for vessels up to 22' overall
length with beam widths up to 9'.
- The marina has outwater mooring space for approximately 100 vessels up to 36'
overall length and drafts up to 7'.

Cos Cob
- The Cos Cob Marina is located on River Road just south of the I-95 overpass
- The marina has approximately 300 slips for vessels up to 22' overall length with beam widths up to 9'.
- The Cos Cob Dockmaster's office can be reached at (203) 618-9698.
Grass Island
- The Grass Island Marina is located off Shore Road in central Greenwich just south of I-95.
- The marina has approximately 150 slips that can accommodate vessels up to 22' overall length.
- The marina has out water mooring space for approximately 50 vessels up to 36' overall length and drafts up to 5'.

Greenwich Point
- The Greenwich Point Marina is located at Greenwich Point Park in Old Greenwich.
- There is out water mooring space for approximately 250 vessels up to 36' overall length and up to 7' drafts.
- We also have rack storage for about 250 canoes, kayaks, and other small vessels.

How to Sign Up for The Marinas:
- Homeport facilities are available to all Town of Greenwich residents. Proof of residency is required.
Any two of the following is needed:
- Driver's license
- Credit card bill
- Utility bill
- Cable TV bill
- Lease
- Visit the Boating Desk at the Department of Parks and Recreation at town hall:
- Bring proof of residency (above) and an accurate description of your vessel:
- It is important that the overall length, including the outboard engine and pulpit be provided along with an accurate beam
measurement at the time of your visit.
- o Bring a copy of your vessel registration (if required by the state).
- We will put you on the appropriate waiting list based on your preferred marina and the size of your vessel.
- When space becomes available, the dockmaster will contact you.

Visitors:
- Our Grass Island Marina in Greenwich Harbor has tie-up space for visitors. There is no
charge during the day and an overnight charge based upon vessel size. Call the boating office at Town Hall,
