The primary function of the Tax Collector's Office is to collect real estate taxes, personal property taxes, motor vehicle taxes and sewer construction assessments.

You can choose how you want to pay

  • Online with an electronic check (ACH/EFT)
  • Online with a credit card
  • By mail with a check
  • At Town Hall with cash or check
  • Please write your list number on your check 

You cannot use a credit card for mail or in-person payments

Payment Due Dates
The following taxes are due July 1 and you have until August 1 to pay on time

  • Real estate
  • Motor vehicle
  • Personal property

The following taxes are due January 1 and you have until February 1 to pay on time

  • Real estate (second half of bill)
  • Supplemental motor vehicle (for vehicles registered after October 1)

Sewer construction assessments are due either in January for properties located in the Millbrook project, or April for properties located in the North Mianus project. Payments are to be paid within 30 days of the due dates.

Pay taxes online 
You may pay online with a credit card or electronic check (ACH/EFT). Paying online adds a convenience fee that is charged by the processing company for providing that service. Credit cards = 2.95% / ACH = $.95(ninety-five cents). You can also simply view and print your information.

Delinquent Motor Vehicle Taxes must be paid in cash, money order, certified check or bank check.
