Request for Qualifications for Pedestrian Facilities Inventory and Accessibility Review

Byram River Flood Study-NEPA Scoping Meeting

On November 16, 2017, the Army Corps of Engineers and the Town of Greenwich will host a NEPA Scoping meeting as a step in preparing the Environmental Impact Statement as part of the Byram River Basin-Connecticut and New York Flood Risk Management Feasibility Study. Dingletown Road Opening -Wednesday October 4, 2017
The Department of Public Works (DPW) is pleased to announce the opening of Dingletown Road on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Dingletown Road was closed in order to complete significant maintenance to the bridge. Click here for more information.

Binney Park Pond Maintenance Dredging and Bank Restoration Project
The Department of Public Works, Engineering Division, has announced that the Binney Park Pond Maintenance Dredging and Bank Restoration project  is expected to begin on Wednesday July 5, 2017; it is estimated to last approximately six months. Old Greenwich Storm Drain Improvements to Begin

Rehabilitation of Dingletown Road Bridge to Begin in June of 2017
The Engineering Division of Public Works has announced that construction is scheduled to begin June 5, 2017 on the Dingletown Road Bridge over Rockwood Lake. Click here for the News Release with more information.
East Putnam Avenue Phase II Drainage Improvements
The Engineering Division of DPW will be managing construction to improve the drainage system down the center of  East Putnam Avenue between Church Street and Sherwood Place. Construction is expected to begin Monday, May 22 and should last approximately 3 months. Read the Public Notice for more information.
New Application Form for Highway Permits
The Highway Division of Public Works has updated the Highway Permit Application. Please review the new application in its entirety to familiarize yourself with the new requirements for submissions for all New Construction, Driveway and Drainage applications. Holly Hill Dump Stickers
The Department of Parks and Recreation has discontinued the Park Pass decals for vehicle windshields. Many residents used those stickers for entry into the Waste Disposal Transfer Station. The 2016  sticker WILL be accepted at Holly Hill (the Transfer Station) to gain entry. If you do not have a  Parks and Recreation 2016 decal on your vehicle you may obtain...
Credit Cards Now Accepted in DPW
DPW now has the capability of processing credit cards for permit payments in the Highway, Sewer and Building Inspection Divisions. Effective immediately we will now accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover;  we hope this will be a more convenient, efficient process for those obtaining a permit in these divisions.

The Department of Public Works (DPW) reports to the First Selectman. It is headed by the Commissioner of Public Works, who is responsible for all matters involved in the construction, development and maintenance of the physical properties of the town, except for the design and maintenance of school property.
