Holiday Season Annual Moratorium-Roadway Openings
The Highway Division of the Department of Public Works announces the annual holiday moratorium on road openings, excavations and other activities beginning November 24, 2014. Click Here for more information in the Press Release

River Road Bridge Construction - Road Closures in October
Construction to install a waterproof membrane on the River Road Bridge is scheduled to begin. As part of this construction there will be three days of road closures in October. Read the News Release for more information.
Town Hall ADA Parking Change
As part of the Town Hall exterior site improvement project, ADA parking will be changing beginning the week of September 22, 2014. Click Here for the diagram denoting the relocation of ADA accessible parking stalls.
Department of Public Works Announces Town Hall Project
The Department of Public Works will begin a project involving maintenance to the exterior of Town Hall. The work is scheduled to begin the week of September 22, 2014 and continue until the end of November. Click here for the News Release and attached drawing of the work to be done.
Horseneck Lane and Shore Road Parking Changes During Construction
The Sewer Rehabilitation on Horseneck Lane and Shore Road has commenced. Due to the complexity of the project, some of the parking nearby will be adjusted. The previous parking plan has been revised; Click Here for the updated diagram and further information about the availabilty of  parking on Horseneck Lane.

The Sewer Divison of the Department of Public Works announced the commencement of construction impacting Horseneck Lane, Shore Road and Grass Island. Click here to view the flier (with map) developed by the Sewer Division to give the public more information about the sewer rehabilitation project.
Horseneck Lane and Shore Road Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation

Shore Road Bridge Rehabilitation
The Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works will be rehabilitating the Shore Road Bridge beginning Monday, August 18, 2014. Click on the flyer for more information on the project.
Lake Avenue Bridge Superstructure Replacement
The Department of Public Works, Engineering Division has announced that construction will begin on the Lake Avenue Bridge beginning August 4, 2014. As part of the construction work the road is scheduled to be closed August 4, 2014 through August 25, 2014. For more information read the News Release.
Sound Shore and Strickland Road Notice of Construction July 14, 2014
The Department of Public Works will begin construction of new curbs, sidewalks, pedestrian ramps and drainage facilities in the vicinity of Sound Shore Road and Strickland Road on July 14, 2014. The Public Notice provides more information.

Construction of Cos Cob Park
Construction has commenced at the former Cos Cob Power Plant Site. RC&D Inc. was awarded the contract on June 28, 2013. For more information on the project open the Project Information Brochure.
The Department of Public Works Announces the Opening of the John Street Bridge
Public Works announces that the John Street Bridge will be opening; see the current Press Release. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on September 27, 2013. Click here for the invitation and information. 
Old Greenwich Common Force Main Replacement-- Road Closure
Beginning Monday, September 23, 2013 construction will continue on the Cos Cob to Sachem Road Force Main Replacement between Strickland Road and Sound Shore Drive. As a result, that short stretch of road will remain closed. Click here for the Press Release and Traffic Plan Images.
Riversville Road Bridge Replacement Update
Construction for the Riversville Road Bridge is on-going. There will be a traffic shift beginning Monday, September 23, 2013. For more information click on the News Release.
Sewer Division Construction Notice Revised

The Sewer Division will be replacing a portion of the Old Greenwich Common Force Main from the Cos Cob Pumping Station to Sachem Road. On May 20, 2013 construction will begin (weather permitting) on Strickland Road. See Press Release.
