The Town's Workers' Compensation Program is a self-insured plan under the Workers' Compensation Act. The Department of Human Resources has retained the CIRMA (Connecticut Inter-local Risk Management Agency) to administer its workers' compensation program. It provides:

  • Immediate care for all claims.
  • Complete coverage in accordance with the Act for all medical bills, pharmaceutical bills and lost time.
  • Assistance in physician selection, treatment options, general case management and patient advocates.
  • Return to work assistance, including a Town-wide progressive "light-duty" program.
