With a whimsical invitation designed by local artist Patty Sechi — and with the support and hospitality of McArdle’s — the sixth annual Arbor Day benefit by the Greenwich Tree Conservancy proved to be a huge hit! Director JoAnn Messina highlighted the importance of the continued planting of trees in Greenwich, which today totals 2,500 trees. Conservancy President Peter Malkin stressed that recent hurricanes in 2010 and 2012 have prompted annual planting of more trees to continue to keep Greenwich green.
Among the guests were Cricket Lockhart, Lori Jackson, Leslie Lee, Patti Sechi, and Davidde Strackbein
Party guests included Richard Bergstresser, Mike Aurelia, and Denise Savageau
Susan Sleeper and Susan Schieffelin co-chaired the event and are pictured with Peter Malkin
Students from the MOB, the Brunswick School acapella group under the direction of Alexander Constantine, added great music to the mix!
Greenwich Academy students Adele Whitmyer and Parker Murphy helped with tree pledges.
