Respected Town of Greenwich resident and volunteer, John Toner, was sworn into office to serve the remainder of the term of the late Selectman David Theis. First Selectmen Peter Tesei and Selectman Drew Marzullo agreed to appoint Mr. Toner, a member of the Representative Town Meeting from District 9 since 1998, who grew up in the Bruce Park area, graduated from Fairfield University and served two years in the Peace Corps in Ghana. He worked at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City for 27 years and is currently a volunteer at Greenwich Hospital and its Volunteer Auxiliary Board and Board of Trustees, Call-A-Ride of Greenwich, and the Board of the Transportation Association of Greenwich.
