Independence Day was another perfect Day for our celebration and recognition in front of Greenwich Town Hall.
Selectman John Toner welcomed hundreds of Greenwich residents to share the power and emotions of this event which was ably led by Master of Ceremonies Ed Dadakis, below.
Sophie Trudeau, a descendant of Town Founder Elizabeth Feake, added her special spirit to the event.
Historical reenactor Lucy Van Atta of the Greenwich Historical Society shared her enthralled audience
with the personal story of Sarah Bush, A Strong Woman in a Time of War.
Explorer Scouts presented the flags of the original 13 colonies and (below) Stefanie Kies led the music with her patriotic verve!
Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts read sections of the Declaration of Independence
…and the “Happy Birthday, America” cake was carefully cut!
