Greenwich residents have hoped for years to created a true Greenwich Commons in the park on the north side of the Havemeyer Building — and it has happened.
The Greenwich Common was dedicated on October 19 and is a stunning and very fitting addition to central Greenwich. This park brings life to a seldom used space and creates a welcoming note to all who pass and stay to rest, play chess, have lunch or a snack, and generally be soothed by the surrounding beauty.
John Conte, Cleo Abrams-Horsburgh, Mary Hull, Joe Siciliano, and Bruce Spaman were present at the dedication, pleased to see another example of a public-private sponsorship creating a wonderful addition to the Town of Greenwich.
Isla and her sister Kiki (daughters of Cleo Abrams-Horsburgh of Conte and Conte Architects) show the joy the Greenwich Common brings to all who visit the park!
