Greenwich has a new gift — ready for spring and family gatherings, solitary strolls, a multi-use playing field, and picnics! The stunningly beautiful Cos Cob Park at 22 Sound Shore Drive is waiting for warmer weather to entice Greenwich residents for all this and more.
Joe Siciliano, Director of Parks and Recreation, joined First Selectman Peter Tesei and Commissioner of Public Works Amy Siebert at the official ribbon cutting to open this long-awaited park on a peninsula in Cos Cob Harbor. Deputy Commissioner of Public Works David Thompson, Project Engineer Michael Doherty, Project Architect Mark Arigoni, General Contractor Michael Rose, and DPW Chief Engineer James Michel all spoke about the tremendous dedication of those who designed and executed the plans for this park over the years. They can all be proud of their efforts.
Don’t forget, you will love this new gift to all of us!
