Environmental Action Task Force
- Established by the Greenwich Board of Selectmen in January, 2008, at the request of Lin Lavery. The group eventually involved more than 40 citizens before completing work in April 2009.
- The initial group comprised sixteen members with a variety of expertise. Membership List
- The mission of the task force was ”to establish Greenwich as a leader in environmental awareness, to take the lead on key issues, and to recommend policy to the Board of Selectmen to make all Town government operations environmentally sustainable.”
- The group identified seven issues to address. Working in subcommittees, the EATF developed resolutions for each area which were presented to and passed by the Board of Selectmen.
