The primary function of the Tax Collector's Office is to collect real estate taxes, personal property taxes, motor vehicle taxes and sewer construction assessments.
You can choose how you want to pay - Online or by telephone with a credit card
- By mail with a check
- At Town Hall with cash or check.
You cannot use a credit card for mail or in-person payments
Payment Due Dates The following taxes are due July 1 and you have 30 days to pay - Real estate
- Motor vehicle
- Personal property
The following taxes are due January 1 and you have 30 days to pay - Real estate (second half of bill)
- Supplemental motor vehicle (for vehicles registered after October 1)
Sewer construction assessments are due September 1 and you have 30 days to pay.
Pay taxes online or by telephone You can pay your taxes online through this web site with a credit card. You will be charged a fee for this service. See Convenience Fee Schedule for online payments.
You also can pay your taxes by credit card by telephone for a fee through Official Payments at 1-800-2PAY-TAX (1-800-272-9829). If paying by telephone, you must use Jurisdiction Code 1730, have the account number and know the amount due.

Bring your check or cash for your tax payment to Tax Collectors' Office Town Hall, First Floor Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Delinquent Motor Vehicle Taxes must be paid in cash, money order, certified check or bank check.
