Children, Youth & Family Services Unit

Casework Services for youth, families, single parents, adolescents, and children are provided by social service professionals five days per week at Town Hall. Most programs and services are delivered at Town Hall, but some programs take applications at or are conducted at community sites or in the home. Residents without transportation can be seen at home, or can be transported to Town Hall for help. Services include:
- Case Management
- Advocacy
- Crisis Intervention
- Parent/Child/Marital Counseling and Referral
- Assistance with benefit and entitlement applications and redeterminations: Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, subsidized housing, food, HUSKY, clothing, medications, and many kinds of special needs
- Temporary emergency financial assistance
- Assistance with food and clothing
- Energy Assistance
- Eviction prevention and mediation
- Activities of daily living: bill paying, shopping services, transportation
- Budget and money management counseling
- Housing advocacy and assistance
- Immigration assistance
- ESL classes (call for information)

- Youth Conservation Project: Short-term Summer employment for 14-15 year-olds
- Byram Archibald Neighborhood Center (BANC) recreation and arts activity program for Byram elementary students age 5-12 years old. For information call Christina Nappi.
