Snow Emergency Declared - Coastal Flood Warning
At 3 PM Saturday January 22 The Selectmen have declared a Snow Emergency for the Town of Greenwich and this declaration will be in effect until removed by the Selectmen. This declaration requires that all vehicles parked on designated Snow Routes be removed. Vehicles that are not removed shall be subject to fines and towing. Travel should be restricted to only that which is absolutely necessary.
In addition a Coastal Flood Warning for low lying shoreline areas has been issued by the National Weather Service and the State Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security. The Selectmen are therefore requesting that all Greenwich residents located on the shoreline be diligent with regards to the tidal levels in their area.
