12/8: Old Greenwich School Book Fair Event
The Old Greenwich Elementary School PTA Book Fair Committee is delighted to bring Award-winning New York actor Dion Graham as a special visitor to our Winter Book Fair: The Magic of Books.

We extend an invitation to the Greenwich community on an elementary school early dismissal day to make the OGS gym a destination for holiday shopping and entertainment.

Get Wild! on Tues. December 8th from 1:30 to 2:30 PM when a special reading of the beloved Maurice Sendak picture book, "Where the Wild Things Are" is presented. Dion, along with children from the audience, will bring to life the Sendak book, as well as Pulitzer Prize-nominee Dave Eggers new young adult novel, "The Wild Things" inspired by the Sendak book and upon which the movie is based.

Following the event, there will be a raffle to give away free audio books to both children and adults.

As a highly-regarded narrator of audio books, and winner of 10 Earphone Awards his audio book credits include Walter Mosley's mysteries, the Grammy-nominated "Behind the Lines," the Audie-winner "River Rising," and David Fulmer's "Rampart Street," which won the 2007 Benjamin Franklin Award for Adult Fiction. He has narrated young adult titles by Dave Eggers ("The Wild Things") and award-winning author Jacqueline Woodson ("Peace, Locomotion").

He also has an abiding commitment to working with young people.Dion Graham is a veteran actor and award-winning audio book narrator. He counts among his Broadway and Off-Broadway stage credits leading and supporting roles in "Lobby Hero," "Not About Nightingales," 'Ten Things To Do Before I Die" and "Washington Square Moves." He has appeared in guest roles on "Law and Order" "Homicide," "NYPD Blue," "Gossip Girl" and in supporting roles in the films "Malcolm X," "Asbury Park," and "Thirteen Conversations About One Thing." He played States Attorney Rupert Bond on HBO's "The Wire," and narrates "The First 48" which has run 130 episodes on A&E.
