Two Major Political Debates by LWV
The League of Women Voters of Greenwich will be sponsoring two important debates this political season. Both debates will be held in the Town Hall Meeting Room, 101 Field Point Road from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and are open to the general public with no admission charge. Both debates will be telecast live on GCTV-Channel 79.

The first debate will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd and will bring together the 12 candidates running for the Board of Estimate and Taxation. Tony Savino, News Director for WGCH Radio, will be the Moderator. Democratic Candidates scheduled to attend include incumbents Nancy Barton, William R. Finger, Edward T. Krumeich, Jr., and Larry Simon, and newcomers William Kelly and Jeffrey Ramer. The Republican incumbent candidates will include Michael S. Mason, Arthur D. Norton, Robert S. Stone, Leslie L. Tarkington and Stephen G. Walko, along with newcomer James Campbell.

The second debate, scheduled for Wednesday, October 17th, will be for the Selectmen's race and will include all four candidates running for the town's top seats. For First Selectman Democrat Frank Farricker will debate Republican Peter Tesei, while Democrat Lin Lavery will face off against Republican Peter Crumbine in their race for the Selectmen's seats. Moderator for the Selectmen's debate will be Enid Oresman of Darien, former Past President of the League of Women Voters of Connecticut.
