
Citizen's Police Academy - Spring 2007 The Greenwich Police Department is accepting applications for the Spring-2007 Citizen's Police Academy Class. The 11-week session will commence on April 4, 2007 and meet each Wednesday from 6:30- 9:30 p.m. at the Greenwich Town Hall. Graduation will be held on June 13, 2007. The CPA does not certify students to be police officers but offers a 33-hour program that provides Greenwich residents with a first hand overview of the law enforcement and community related functions of the Greenwich Police Department. The program is offered to Greenwich residents only.
Instructors for the program will be highly trained and experienced Greenwich Police Officers. There is no fee for the eleven-week program. Any Greenwich resident 21 years of age or older may apply. Seating will be limited to 25 persons. Due to the high demand of this class, qualified applicants will be subject to a lottery drawing to determine the final class roster. Student notifications will be made the week of May 26th.
Applicants should confirm that they will be available for each class of instruction.
