Citizen's Police Academy Fall Registration
The Greenwich Police Department is accepting applications for the Citizens Police Academy Fall 2006 Session. The 10-week program will commence on October 11, 2006 and meet each week from 6-9 pm at the Greenwich Town Hall. Graduation will be held on December 20, 2006. Completed applications and a motor vehicle operator's license photocopy must be received at the Greenwich Police Department Training Division no later than October 3, 2006.
The Citizens Police Academy is a program that provides Greenwich residents with a first hand overview of the law enforcement and community related functions of the Greenwich Police Department.

Motor Vehicle Stops
Narcotics Investigations
Police Canine
Special Response Unit
Crime Scenes
Criminal Law
Use of Force
Fraud Investigation
Instructors for the program will be highly trained and experienced Greenwich Officers.
There is no fee for the ten-week program. Any Greenwich resident 21 years of age or older may apply. Seating will be limited to 25 persons. Due to the high demand for this class, qualified applicants will be subject to a lottery drawing to determine the final class roster.
A criminal history background check will be performed on all applicants. If accepted, you will be contacted by the Greenwich Police Department to confirm your attendance approximately one week prior to the first class.

December 6, 13, 20
