May 6: Shellfishing Demo at Greenwich Point
Members of the Greenwich Shellfish Commission will hold a Shellfishing Demonstration on May 6th at Greenwich Point
Learn about and dig for the various types of clams and shellfish that inhabit the shores of Greenwich Point.
Discover how the Greenwich Shellfish Commission has reintroduced oysters to the area after an absence of more than fifteen years and how they are also working to bring back scallops to the cove.
Bring the family (children welcome), a pair of waterproof shoes and a gardening fork or rake and meet at 11:30 AM by the Chimes Building (opposite the Old Greenwich Yacht Club)
