Revised Building and Trade Permit Fees
Starting July 1, 2004 the Division of Building Inspection will revise its building and trade permit fees. The minimum permit fee for all permits will be increased from $30 to $40. Building permit fees for residential properties will be increased from $10/$1,000 of construction value to $12/$1.000. Trade permit fees (electrical, plumbing and HVAC) will be increased from $10/$1,000 of construction value to $12/$1.000.
Reactivation fees for building permits will increase from $30 to $40.
A new processing fee will be assessed for amendments. This fee will be assessed in addition to the regular fee of $12/1,000 charged on the additional value of work. The processing fee will be scaled according to the following schedule:
First amendment $40
Second amendment $60
Third amendment $100
