Earth Month Calendar of Events

Each year, in celebration of Earth Day, local officials and environmentalists put together a month-long calendar of events that runs from late March through May. In Greenwich, the First Selectman proclaims April as Earth Day Celebration Month and the Conservation Commission assembles a Calendar of Events working with the environmental community. We are really excited about this year's Calendar of Events. Whether you are interested in organic gardening, watching a documentary, going for a bird walk, exploring our wetlands, or joining in on the discussion around plastics, there is something for everyone!

Replacement of Round Hill Road Bridge

Improvements to Lake Avenue and Lower Cross Road Intersection

The project involves road construction and drainage improvements along Lake Avenue and Lower Cross Road. Phase 1 begins Monday, April 2, 2018 and consists of Lake Avenue being closed to thru traffic from Lower Cross Road to the driveway of the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, (approximately 300 feet).
