The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will be starting a Family to Family program in Greenwich.  Please join them for the 11 week class to learn more about how to live with loved ones who have a mental illness.

Energy Assistance 2013
The Greenwich Department of Social Services reminds residents that there is help with energy bills for residents facing hardship in difficult economic times.  The State of Connecticut has several energy programs that assist in ensuring the safety of residents.  Income guidelines for most programs are 60% of State Median Income or lower.  The Energy Program runs from November 5, 2012 until May 1, 2013.  For more information regarding the Energy Programs, call  (203) 622-3800.

Tax Assistance For Seniors
Tax Assistance for Seniors will begin Tuesday, February 5th through April 15th in Town Hall's 3rd floor Hayton Conference Room.  Hours of service: 9:30-3:00 PM, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays. The Tax Volunteers can print completed forms for mailing, or forms can be electronically submitted.

Emergency Assistance
The Greenwich Department of Social Services is available to assist Greenwich residents affected during the recent storm.  If you require assistance in replacing lost food or emergency medications, or have other immediate needs, please call our office at (203) 622-3800.

Annual Senior Health Fair
The Annual Senior Health Fair will take place Thursday, October 4, 2012, from 9-1:00 pm, at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center, 90 Harding Road, Old Greenwich.  The Health Deptartment will have the Seasonal Flu & Pneumonia vaccines available.  If you are over 65 you must bring your Medicare part B cards or a fee will be charged. There will also be Health screenings, Educational exhibits, Door prizes & Giveaways.   For further information contact 203-862-6710.
