AAA Traffic Safety Awards 2012
Departments from across Connecticut were at the Trumbull Marriott to receive awards for traffic safety programs. Officer Ron Carosella of the Departments Traffic Section was selected as “Traffic Hero of the Year” for the Town of Greenwich for his exceptional work with teens and driving. He has previously been recognized by the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce as “Officer of the Year” for his work with both teens and seniors in driver training.
The Greenwich Police Department received the coveted Gold Award for the third year in a row, and was recognized for its pedestrian safety initiative in reducing fatal and serious injury collisions involving pedestrians.
