Bridge Construction and Parking Lot Improvements at Old Greenwich Railroad Station

The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation (CT DOT) has commenced the second phase of Project 301-0092 Rehabilitation of Metro-North Railroad Bridge to replace bridge No.03948R Sound Beach and bridge No. 03955R Tomac Avenue. In addition to the bridge construction, CT DOT will make improvements to the Railroad Station and the South Commuter Parking lot at the Stamford Bound in Old Greenwich. The project is a joint effort between the CT DOT and Metro North which will take place over the course of four (4) years.

The first phase of the project has been completed which included relocating existing overhead power lines in the upper and lower portions of the South Commuter Lot. The second phase will commence on Monday, May 4, 2015 and that work will consist of moving utilities under the South Beach Avenue bridge. As a result, parking spaces may be inaccessible at various locations at the Old Greenwich Railroad Station. We ask all permit holders to be cognizant of all construction signs, cones and notices posted at the site.

For more information, please visit the Old Greenwich RR Station Upgrades and Bridge Replacement site at http://oldgreenwichrrstationbridgerehab.com/. The Town of Greenwich, CT DOT and MetroNorth thanks everyone for their patience and cooperation during this critical construction project.
