Hazard Mitigation Grant Program

Dear Interested Parties for the Hazard Mitigation Elevation grant,

The Town of Greenwich received its first official notification that the State of Connecticut deadline for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) is November 22, 2013.  In order to get the grants assembled for the 11/22 deadline, the Town requires all materials, including the full application (attached below) be submitted no later than October 23, 2013.  To meet this deadline, all applicants should have completed the first step for the preliminary cost benefit analysis by now and also met with Denise Savageau, Conservation Director.

There may be other grant funding opportunities in the future.  Most of these grants the resident would apply for as an individual.  These are being listed on the CT Recovers site:

Thank you,

Michael Rosen

Water Faucet
The Town of Greenwich Board of Selectmen adopted new water restrictions that focus on restricting water use for outdoor irrigation and are in keeping with the Emergency Water Supply Order recently issued by the CT Department of Public Health. The new restrictions recognize that reservoir levels are improving but are still below average.
