NOTICE FOR PUBLIC COMMENT AND INPUT
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM

PY2016 CAPER (DRAFT)

In accordance with HUD regulations at 24 CFR 91.520, the Greenwich Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program must submit its performance report to HUD.  Thus, the CDBG program has prepared the 2016 CAPER (Draft), which will be submitted to the HUD Hartford Office (20 Church Street, 10th Floor, Hartford, CT) on or about April 10, 2017.  The 2016 CAPER (Draft) covers the period from January 1 to December 31, 2016 and contains reporting information on community development activities pursuant to the requirements of 24 CFR Part 91, including but not limited to a description of the progress the Town of Greenwich has made in carrying out its Strategic Five Year Plan, Annual Action Plan, Actions to Further Fair Housing, and status of funds.

Greenwich CDBG PY2017 NOFA and RFP/Application Materials

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PY2017 
NOTICE OF FUND AVAILABILITY AND/RFP APPLICATION MATERIALS


The Office of Community Development is currently accepting proposals from interested agencies or organizations for a possible CDBG grant award during program year 2017. The anticipated funds will become available after January 1, 2017. The amount of expected CDBG Entitlement funding for program year 2017 is estimated to be around $725,000 +/- (Note that this is an estimated amount based on the Proposed FY2017 President's Budget for HUD).  

Completed proposals for 2017 CDBG funding consideration must be received by the CDBG Office no later than May 5, 2016 at 12 noon.

The Town of Greenwich is currently accepting proposals from interested agencies or organizations for the State of Connecticut 2016 Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) Program. The NAA Program allows for a tax credit to be earned by business firms that make cash investments of at least $250 to certain community programs. The cash investments must be made in a community program that is proposed and conducted by a tax exempt or municipal agency and must be approved both by the municipality in which the program is conducted and the Department of Revenue Services (DRS).

Important Notice from the Town Of Greenwich
Water Faucet
The Town of Greenwich Board of Selectmen adopted new water restrictions that focus on restricting water use for outdoor irrigation and are in keeping with the Emergency Water Supply Order recently issued by the CT Department of Public Health. The new restrictions recognize that reservoir levels are improving but are still below average.
