Town Implements Permit Tracking System
Victoria, BC, August 17, 2007 - Municipal Software (TSX-V:MSZ) announced today that it has been selected by the Town of Greenwich to implement an integrated permit tracking system. Municipal Software will provide the complete suite of CityView PreBuilts - Property, Planning, Permitting and Inspections, Code Enforcement, Licensing and Cashiering - to the Town as well as the CityView Public Portal. Municipal Software will also provide all related implementation services, including project management, and training.
Greenwich's permitting process relies on the coordinated efforts of nine departments who currently record and track information related to planning, permitting and code enforcement activities using disparate systems. With CityView, these departments will have access to all application and permit information in a shared, central database, eliminating duplication of effort, reducing permit processing and approval times, and providing management with accurate, reliable information to direct the departments' activities.
Constituents benefit from the new functionality with direct access to Building Development information and services online, including online applications and status reporting, and by phone through an automated telephone information system that integrates with CityView.
