Men’s & Women’s Town of Greenwich Golf Championships-2013
Men: The 69th annual Greenwich Men’s Golf Tournament will be held Saturday & Sunday, June 29th & 30th at Griffith E. Harris Golf Course. The format is 36 holes, medal play, gross and net. There are three Town-Wide Flights based on handicaps: Championship (0-9), A Flight (10-17) and B Flight (18-36). There are also two Senior (age 50-64) Flights based on handicaps: Senior (0-17) and A Flight (18-36) and a Super Senior (age 65+) Flight. Tee off times are scheduled from 7:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. on both days. An award presentation will take place at the course following completion of play. The cost to enter is $71 for Seniors & Super Seniors and $91 for Town-Wide. Applications are available in the Pro Shop at the course which is located at 1323 King Street and all other private Greenwich golf club Pro Shops. Entries close on Sunday, June 23rd. Women: The 2013 Greenwich Town-Wide Women’s Championship Tournament will be held Monday, July 1st at the Griffith E. Harris Golf Course. The format is 18 holes, medal play, gross & net. There are three Flights: Town-Wide, Senior (50+) and Super Senior (65+). Town Champion in each flight is the player with the lowest gross score. The overall Town Champion can come from any flight. The cost to enter is $47 for Seniors and Super Seniors and $54 for Town-Wide. Entries close on Tuesday, June 25th. For additional information call Joe Felder in the Pro Shop at 203-531-7261.
