Q. I am confused by the Medigap insurance policies. Where can I get help? A. The Health Insurance Counseling Program, a cooperative effort of the Commission on Aging and Family Centers, Inc. has trained volunteers who can help you understand the policies and their premium costs. The service is free and appointments can be scheduled by calling (203) 622-3992.
Q. I need transportation for medical appointments and for shopping. What kind of service is available? A. The Commission on Aging office can assist a senior to connect with TAG, Call-A-Ride, a Share-The-Fare Taxi, Red Cross, or other specialized transportation services by calling (203) 622-3992. You may also download the Transportation Guide.
Q. What programs and services for seniors are available in Greenwich? A. The Greenwich Commission on Aging publishes, and regularly updates, a 62-page Directory of Services for Senior Adults which includes listings for health services, activities, transportation, in-home services, housing, finances, and more.
