Police Department

Q. How can I arrange a youth-group tour of the Greenwich Police Department?
A. Tours can be arranged by contacting the Youth Division at (203) 622-8030

Q. How can I arrange to have a guest speaker from the Greenwich Police Department address my civic organization?
A. Guest speakers can be arranged by contacting Sergeant Michael Reynolds who will assign a speaker to address your particular topic of interest.

Q. Where can I get a pistol permit application?
A. A pistol permit application for the Town of Greenwich can be obtained at General Services Division located in the Police Administration Building, 15 Havemeyer Place, during normal business hours.

Q. How do I get a copy of an accident or incident report?
A. Copies of reports are available from the General Services Division located in the Police Administration Building 15 Havemeyer Place. It is recommended you call 622-8024 to determine if the report you want is available. Normal processing for an accident report requires five business days from the date of the accident. Incident reports must be requested in writing and are processed in four business days from receipt of your request. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Q. What do I need to do in order to get fingerprinted?
A. Fingerprinting services are conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. and are offered solely to Greenwich residents or employees of businesses located in Greenwich. Fingerprint cards are not supplied by Police Department, and must be obtained from employer. Charge for fingerprinting service is $5.00 per card.
