Q. What is the Fleet Department responsible for and how many vehicles does the Town have?
A. The Fleet Department is responsible for all Town vehicles. The Town's Fleet consists of 205 light- duty vehicles, 133 heavy-duty vehicles, (over 10,000 gross vehicle weight) and 165 pieces of non- rolling stock (plows, sanders, generator, trailers, rollers, for example)

A. The Fleet Department has 13 full-time and 1 permanent part-time employees. 9 including 2 Foremen are skilled mechanical technicians, 2 Fleet Operations Assistants, 1 Administrative Assistant and the Fleet director.
Q. What service functions are performed at the Vehicle Maintenance Center?
A. Operated by the Fleet Department, the Vehicle Maintenance Center performs Preventive Maintenance and repairs on all Town owned vehicles and support equipment. The Vehicle Maintenance Center has 9 repair bays and an automated wash bay. The department utilizes a Fleet Maintenance Software program to schedule preventive maintenance, repairs and to track vehicle history and costs. The department also manages the automated fueling system at 3 fuel sites and is responsible for ordering fuel.
