Havemeyer Building Survey
Would you like to see this historic 1892 building in the heart of Greenwich become a center for visual and performing arts?
You are invited to participate in a survey, which will help guide a proposed initiative to convert the Havemeyer Building into a Center for the Arts. The Board of Education is seeking more appropriate space because the current facility no longer meets their needs. As you may know, a task force has been formed to study the feasibility of raising private funds to convert this historic building into a permanent location for many of Greenwich's cultural events and performances. What you may not know is that the Havemeyer houses an 1892 vintage theater and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
