2008 Leaf Collection Begins Nov. 19
Leaf Collection is be provided to all properties on PUBLIC STREETS ONLY in building zones R-20 (half-acre) and below. Residents in the collection areas are to rake LEAVES ONLY into piles at the shoulder, off the pavement of the road. Residents are requested to avoid raking leaves onto the pavement, sidewalks and catch basin grates, which cause drainage and flooding problems during periods of rain. Sticks, branches and garden refuse will not be collected.
Children's Safety
To protect our children and keep them safe from danger, parents are reminded that children playing in leaf piles situated near the roadway, or forced to use the roadway when the sidewalks are obstructed by leaf debris should make every effort to educate their children to the dangers of these situations.
Leaf piles situated up and down the roadway, either cause vehicular traffic to be somewhat restrictive in their movement or cause pedestrians to use the roadway because of blocked or obstructed sidewalks. Motorists should be mindful that children may be playing or hiding in leaf piles and should use extreme caution when driving by or parking.

Depending on rapid progress or inclement weather delays, the Leaf Collection Hotline is a dynamic schedule that is updated with data provided by the Foremen daily. We recommend that residents stay ahead by raking early and frequently.
The first collection will begin on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 in Sections Number 1, 2, 3, and 4. Collection will begin on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 in Sections Number 11, 13 and 17. Once the first collection is completed, the second and final collection will begin. Click here for a listing of streets and section numbers that you can print and save.
